A WELCOME FROM THE EDITOR

Welcome to the official web page of the International Lawrence Durrell Society. The Society, founded in 1980, is a non-profit, educational organization with members worldwide.

Greg Dickson and Anna Lillios first created the website in 1997, and Anna Lillios served as the editor for the first decade. In 2007, I began serving as the editor and Charles Sligh is now moderating the email listserv, while Greg Dickson continues as the webmaster.

The ILDS website supports communication of scholarship and the Society's activities. Current projects include an ongoing bibliography of criticism, teaching resources (under development), and a discussion forum sponsored by the University of Victoria. We will also soon release the back-issues of The Herald from 1984 to the present.

This site is meant to reflect the activities and needs of the International Lawrence Durrell Society and its members. Your comments or suggestions are welcome.
